Gardens for Wildlife

Gardens for Wildlife is a network of community groups and councils working together to care for the native plants and animals of our communities.

The flora and fauna of the Mornington Peninsula is unique. Your garden can help protect and nurture the beautiful flora and fauna of the Mornington Peninsula.

Mornington Peninsula’s free Gardens for Wildlife program is designed to encourage and support residents in creating a haven for local wildlife using local plants in their gardens.

The program is a partnership between the Shire and community members/groups that share the common goal of protecting and promoting our native flora and fauna.

You can register your interest to become trained as a volunteer – there is a brief window for this and a waiting time to be accepted.

The local group encourages volunteers and garden visits. Visit their website[external site] for more information.
